Hi, I’m Alexandre, CEO of Ascender in Luxembourg. I joined MC Square 10 years ago and I am proud of our teams and of the success we have built together! I am passionate about travelling and discovering new cultures. I am also deeply enthusiastic about aquatic sports such as sailing and scuba diving as well as endurance activities like trail running and mountaineering.

I’m Christophe, Head of European Business Development at Ascender. I’ve spent over a decade in Luxembourg’s financial industry, where I’ve focused on building strong client relationships and making the fund world a little easier to navigate. I’m passionate about what we’re building as a team, and I genuinely enjoy the mix of people, cultures, and challenges that come with this work. Outside work, you’ll usually find me with a camera in hand or exploring new wines. I also have a slightly obsessive love for 19th-century art — everyone needs a quirk.

Hi, I’m Conor, the CEO of Ascender Fund Partners in Ireland. After 25 years working in finance in London, I returned to Dublin in 2016 to set up GemCap’s Irish business, which has since become Ascender. We have a great team here In Dublin and I’m really proud of what we’ve built together. I’m probably better known for my involvement in my beloved Drogheda United FC — don’t get me started on football! Travel, culture, food, pickleball and politics keep me active mentally and physically.

I’m Gerry and I work in the Business Development Team for Ascender Fund Partners in Ireland.  I have over 25 years’ experience in the funds industry with various senior roles with a pan-European stock exchange group. I have worked with a broad range of global asset managers seeking to launch funds in Europe including UCITS, ETFs and alternative funds.  I am an avid runner and enjoy photography and live music whenever I can.

I’m Stuart and I’m the Group Chief Commercial Officer for Ascender Fund Partners, as well as the CEO of our UK business. I’ve worked in the funds industry for longer than I’d like to admit, mainly in the distribution sector for some of Europe’s largest asset managers. In 2009 I founded the GemCap group, which later merged with MC Square to form Ascender. I’m a mountain climber, so you can tell I had some influence on the Group’s name! I’m also a keen gardener, beekeeper, and all-round environmentalist.

Hi, I’m Liz. I’m Head of UK Business at Ascender and based in London. I’ve built my career in asset management distribution, working across product strategy, fund structures and growth, with experience spanning global asset managers through to specialist boutiques. I’m passionate about helping managers navigate the market to find the right solution. I focus on building strong, long-term relationships, working closely with managers and their key partners at every stage.
Outside of work, I have a real love of interiors and design, enjoy travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

I’m Chrys, and I’m the Head of our US business, based in Chicago (one of the best cities in the US) . I started my career in portfolio management in Paris before joining MC Square in 2017, which has since become Ascender. I have lived on three continents so far (but who’s counting!) and I’m still busy discovering the world and its people. When I’m not helping American fund managers navigate European markets, you will probably find me hosting friendly gatherings, exploring new places, and doing some sports (I dab into almost everything so can’t make a list!!)
